Lysistrata Rising Women's Studies: My Favorites

NONFICTION
I am working on a
nonfiction book to egg on women to live, and write if they so desire, with
their unbridled authentic voices. My
working title is Glass Woman, to show that what we have inside us is
worthwhile, and not to be underestimated, much less trivialized—whether it is
poetry or art, or ribbons of lace, or work for peace, or love.
I am also thinking about finishing, solo, a book on
dance that my former partner, Johann Murray, and I originally conceived as a
collaborative work entitled, Portrait of Two Dancers.
Dance has played a major role in the last 20 years of my life, and there
is a lot I have learned from it which I would like to share with others.
Lysistrata Rising is an essay I published in Iowa Woman in 1983.
It was germane then. It is
so still and again now.
